Economy Plus Hand and Bath Towels
An 86% cotton and 14% polyester towel spun from 16s open-end yarn. That yarn is finer than the one in our Basic Economy line, and it is the reason this towel feels softer in the hand. Built for wholesale buyers stocking hotels, short-term rentals, restaurants, care facilities and therapy practices, sold by the dozen.

The Details
The step up from our Basic Economy towels comes down to the yarn number. Cotton counts run in reverse, so a 16s is a thinner strand than the 10s used in the Basic line. A thinner yarn bends more easily, and that flexibility is what registers as a softer pile. The finer yarn has not cost the towel any substance either. Every hand and bath size here weighs more per dozen than its Basic Economy counterpart.
The polyester supplies structure. It is a stronger fiber than cotton and resists stretching, so the 14% in this blend helps the towel keep its shape and dimensions through repeated commercial laundering.
Expect these to feel stiff straight out of the bale. New towels carry finishes from the mill that come out in the wash, and the supplier notes that these towels loosen up and turn noticeably fluffier after their first cycle. The stiffness is not a sign of how the towel will feel once it is in service.
